Baker, WV (January 2025) – Capon Valley Bank is delighted to announce two promotions at its Baker, WV branch.

Alicia Ruffner has been named Branch Manager, and Amanda Wilkins has been promoted to Head Teller.

With over 14 years of banking experience, including the past eight years as a loan officer and underwriter specializing in Secondary Markets, Ruffner brings a wealth of expertise and a deep connection to the Baker community to her new role. She has lived in Baker for 25 years.

Ruffner grew up in Frederick County, VA, but her fondest memories are of summers spent with her grandparents in Baker, WV, where she developed a lifelong appreciation for the community she now serves. A graduate of James Wood High School, she pursued further education at Lord Fairfax/Laurel Ridge Community College and earned credentials from the American Bankers Association. Additionally, she holds the prestigious Certified Residential Underwriter designation from the Mortgage Bankers Association.

Her dedication to community service is evident through her involvement in civic organizations, including serving on the Local School Improvement Councils (LSIC) for East Hardy High School and East Hardy Elementary School. Ruffner is also an active member of Sperry’s Run Community Church, where she serves as a council member and treasurer, as well as a member of the Ladies Aid organization.

Amanda Wilkins, newly promoted to Head Teller, has consistently demonstrated exceptional customer service and leadership skills during her tenure with Capon Valley Bank. Her commitment to providing personalized banking experiences has earned her recognition from both customers and colleagues. Wilkins’ enthusiasm for her new role reflects her dedication to supporting the bank’s mission within the Baker and Lost River communities.

“Alicia and Amanda exemplify a commitment to the community and share a passion for helping others,” said Michael McDonald, President & CEO of Capon Valley Bank. “We are confident that they will be a great leadership team as the Baker branch continues to grow.”
